Taxi to Rome Airport Cab

Rome’s distinctive white taxis wait outside the passenger stations to serve passengers. Since 1 October 2006, there are fixed rome airport taxi fares from the centre to the airports. From the city centre to Fiumicino and vice versa the fare is 48 euros. For other destinations prices are not fixed. No need to negotiate the price as the taxis have a meter. The charge for luggage is about 1 euro each. You should be aware that Fiumicino is outside the city limits, this means that the fare for the first part is higher (a number 2 is shown on the meter). The driver should turn the meter to the odd “fare” when entering the city limits.
